Trees were planted and watered, gardens dug, mulch spread, windows cleaned, base boards installed and loads of other smaller jobs achieved at the Merrijig Public Hall working bee held recently.

Cars rolled up with wheel barrows, shovels, gloves, hammers, drills, saws and saw horses. An outstanding collection of Merrijiggers gathered for a wonderful social day culminating in a barbecue and chat around the fire.

The major project was the next stage of the landscaping plan compiled by Bella Vista Garden Design. The hall’s surrounds are now taking shape beautifully with very healthy young trees, shrubs and bushes carefully placed and mulched. The mulch was kindly donated by High Country Trees.

Thank you Merrijig for a fantastic response.
